Jansson's Frestelse: A Swedish Temptation You Won't Be Able to Resist
Jansson's Frestelse (Jansson's Temptation) is a traditional Swedish casserole often served during Christmas, but it's delicious year-round.

Ingredients
4 kg (8.8 lbs) potatoes, peeled and sliced
1 onion, sliced
1 can (125g/4.4 oz) anchovy fillets
1 cup heavy cream
1 cup milk
2 tbsp butter
Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
Set your oven to 200°C (390°F). Grease a baking dish with butter.
Place a layer of sliced potatoes in the bottom of the dish. Add a layer of sliced onions, and top with a few pieces of anchovies. Repeat until all ingredients are layered.
In a bowl, mix the heavy cream and milk. Season with a pinch of salt and pepper. Pour this mixture over the layered potatoes and onions.
Dot the top with small pieces of butter.
Cover the dish with foil and bake for 40 minutes. Remove the foil and bake for another 10-15 minutes until the top is golden and the potatoes are tender.
Let it cool for a few minutes before serving.
