Burger with Roasted Potatoes

The world’s first hamburger was created in the late 1800s, but the exact origin is a bit of a mystery! Some say it was invented by Louis Lassen, who served it at his small lunch stand in Connecticut in 1900.

Ingredients:

  • 1 lb ground beef

  • 4 burger buns

  • 1 large potato (for fries)

  • 1 tomato, sliced

  • Lettuce

  • Ketchup

  • Burger dressing

  • Pickled onions

Instructions

  1. Slice the potato into wedges, season with salt, and bake at 400°F (200°C) for 20-25 minutes until crispy.

  2. Form ground beef into 4 patties, season with salt and pepper. Cook patties on a skillet or grill for about 4-5 minutes per side.

  3. Toast the burger buns lightly in a pan.

  4. Spread burger dressing on the bottom bun, add the patty, top with tomato, lettuce, and pickled onions.

  5. Serve with crispy potato wedges and a side of ketchup.
